Hello dear author! I'm excited we paired together and hope that you have fun with this!
I'm including here just a few details about my general preferences/DNWs; under the cut are some prompts to get you started or for you to smile politely at and ignore :-) Seriously, I'll love whatever you come up with!
I like world-building, stories that take place in unexpected places or that include some detail about surroundings. I like character-driven stories, ones that include backstory or off-screen speculation and events. I'm fond of secondary and minor characters, their perspectives on the bigger events. I like main characters, too, and getting different viewpoints from them. Angst is my cup of tea, though not sexual violence of any kind. Non-canonical character death is okay if it furthers your story, though I'd prefer it not be one of my requested characters who bites it ;-). I do love a good 'ship story and have requested a few, but I also really enjoy friendship stories or stories that deal with non-romantic aspects of a relationship that may BE romantic later. Team-building is awesome, especially partnerships between people who aren't very connected in canon or have very little screen time/page time otherwise.
Marvel Cinematic Universe
Steve Rogers & Howling Commandos - Pretty much any story of Steve and his crew during WWII will work for me, but I'd also love a reunion story. The latter can be as angsty as one would expect. The former, I'd most love to see some teambuilding/bonding. Please no ship fic for this group.
Steve Rogers/Natasha Romanov (MCU) - On the run, angst, Nat teasing Steve about his age, really anything here. Prefer it to be set before the events of Infinity War. Please no Nat/Bruce or Steve/Sharon.
Natasha Romanov & Steve Rogers & Wanda Maximoff - Teambuilding, surrogate family. Pretty much anything that fits in that box. Nat/Steve is okay here.
Shuri (MCU) - I would really love to see Shuri developing her talents while her brother is being taught how to be king. How does she become interested in tech? Who are her mentors? What if Shuri becomes the Black Panther? Any and all Shuri-is-awesome stories would be good here.
Brunnhilde | Valkyrie (MCU) - Brunnhilde goes to Midgard to drink away her sorrows and encounters....you pick. Historical figure(s)? Howard Stark? Or, Brunnhilde in her earliest days, before Hela, protecting Asgard and living her life without any knowledge of what is to come. Put Brunnhilde in your choice of MCU plot! Ships are fine (het or fem), but no smut, please. :-)
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016)
Jyn Erso/Cassian Andor - Just fix it :-) Otherwise, looking for a slightly angsty character piece for these two, smut optional. Plot is great, too - flip their roles, let Jyn be the spy for the Alliance and Cassian on the run, for example. Or put them in a canon adventure post-Rogue One. Sky's the limit.
Galen Erso/Lyra Erso - All the ways love works and fails for them; AU where Lyra lives, or Lyra is the scientist the Empire wants.
Jyn Erso & K-2SO - So, maybe, it's K-2 and Jyn after something happens to Cassian (he dies, he leaves, he's captured, you choose). K-2 and Jyn have to work together and become close, even inseparable. Or, wacky Rebel Alliance adventures post-Rogue One lead to them having to get along or Cassian has threatened to push them out of the airlock.
Firefly
Malcolm Reynolds/Inara Serra - Despite having written Mal/Zoe and Mal/Kaylee, in truth I'm mostly a Mal/Inara shipper, and hope you can bring them together here for something sweet and achy. I specified "fix-it" and "AU - Canon Divergence" - what I'm interested in is Mal and Inara finding a way to each other in spite of events in "Heart of Gold," and/or Inara staying with Mal in the wake of the events in Serenity ("staying with" can mean she does so because she thinks Mal needs her, or she feels she can't leave the team, or she's forced to in a way because of notoriety, etc). I love their whole dynamic, and I'd really love for them to find a way to be together.
Anne of Green Gables
Anne Shirley & Marilla Cuthbert - I feel like all the new miniseries are missing an opportunity - tell me more of Marilla's story, or more through her viewpoint! Or, go AU, and bring Anne to Green Gables in a different way. How does her arriving after Matthew dies change how she and Marilla interact? How would an older Anne, maybe already a teacher and at Avonlea School, be different - would she be different for not having come of age at Green Gables, and does that mean she and Marilla have more or less in common on first meeting? I'd also be down for a canon-compliant bonding story, Anne coming to understand Marilla's point of view better, Marilla remembering or reliving her own childhood through Anne, etc.
Anne Shirley/Gilbert Blythe - Getting together sooner. Maybe Gil never calls her Carrots? Maybe they just meet sooner. Or, going with some of the ideas above, maybe Anne comes to Green Gables later, either as a boarding teacher or a hired companion for Marilla. How does that alter how she and Gil meet? Another idea - Anne and Gilbert scheming for the Avonlea Village Improvement Society. Or, erase Roy Gardner altogether, and let Anne say yes to Gilbert the first time, or have him postpone his proposal. Mess with Anne of the Island and the Richmond years all you'd like!
