A/N: Written last year for the Downton Exchange, for [profile] shan_3414. German lyrics for "O, Tannenbaum" used liberally, and the title comes from one English version of the song. No idea why I didn't post this sooner, except that I really had forgotten I wrote it at all. Pregnancy brain attack? Sure.
