Dear Spacer Letter- 2026
Feb. 13th, 2026 11:06 amHowdy Spacer! So excited to be a part of the
space_swap exchange this year and thrilled that we matched on one of these fandoms.
I put some general ideas in my sign-up already and I'll put them below as well, but my general likes/dislikes/DNWs are:
Likes: character pieces, thoughtful world-building, plot that explores alternate beginnings and endings. Angst with happy or at least resolved endings. Closed door sex but public flirting and maybe even some cheeky foreplay. Dialogue. Apocalypse is always fun. Platonic relationships that have weight. In Star Wars, political intrigue, bureaucracy as both the intrinsic evil and ultimate downfall of the Empire (and yet a tool used by the Rebellion and New Republic!), canon pairings, non-canon or offscreen meet-cutes, and you can be as heavy or as light with Force mythology as you like. In Marvel, effects of the "blip"/snap are hugely important to me, especially how the trauma of time lost or time without loved ones is still something everyone is dealing with.
Dislikes/DNWs: alternate settings unless requested (I don't really like modern AUs, for example), explicit sex of any kind, real-world politics unless it's a real-world property to begin with. Non-requested character deaths. Canon-typical violence is fine, gore or unnecessary/gratuitous violence is not. In Star Wars, I would prefer not to take the characters out of the Star Wars Universe. Would prefer characters not use the Force for coercive sex. In Marvel, strongly prefer canon relationships unless otherwise stated.
Andor (TV)
Character: Dedra Meero, Kleya Marki, Mon Mothma (Andor)
The absolute depth of female characters on this show!!!! I just loved it so much. With that in mind I would love character studies on any of these ladies. For Dedra and Mon, stories about their childhoods that made them who they are. Happy moments in the midst of struggle. A good memory for Dedra, especially one that she purposely buries. For Kleya, a story about her after the first Death Star is destroyed, how she fits in to the Rebellion or doesn't. How others come around her and help her keep going. Any interaction for Kleya with other canon Rebels, especially female ones who know how to recognize trauma because they've been through it themselves. Some kind of redemption for Dedra would be interesting, but it would have to be complicated, and if she survives the war I would rather not see her working for the Imperial Remnant or the First Order at all.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016)
Character: Jyn Erso
Relationship: Jyn Erso & Mon Mothma
Relationship: Cassian Andor & Jyn Erso & Chirrut Îmwe & K-2SO & Baze Malbus & Bodhi Rook
Everybody Lives conceit does my heart so much good, so that would be wonderful, but then again....Jyn in the Rebellion but all her friends are gone. Mon Mothma as reluctant mentor. A moment between Jyn and Mon before the Battle of Scarif. Mon Mothma memorializing Jyn, maybe seeing the value in Jyn's martyrdom as propaganda for the Cause but struggling to a point about how to go about it. Cassian/Jyn, but not immediately after Scarif. They live, they survive, and one day....The whole team at a different battle later in the Rebellion. Survivors of Scarif, and they're on Hoth, or elsewhere. The ways each one is remembered after Scarif. Their names read in a ceremony. Or not read at all, and someone - Mon, Leia, Kleya, whoever - remembering them anyway.
Guardians of the Galaxy (Movies)
Relationship: Gamora & Nebula
Really anything with Gamora and Nebula becoming closer as sisters/friends/colleagues. I'd also really like more in the Endgame timeframe, with Nebula having to catch Gamora up on what's happening (Gamora realizing she has an ally in Nebula and not an enemy, etc). Also interested in how Nebula deals with the loss of Gamora but kind of getting her back as well, especially the earliest emotions.
