Happy Yuletide! 2018 Letter

Okay, so. Thank you for signing up for Yuletide, and I can't wait to see what you come up with! Let me say up front, if you've got this story in one of these fandoms that you've been dying to write, feel free to do so and never mind the prompts! Seriously! Have fun!
But if you're like, "omg, I signed up to write what?" like I have been in recent years, I hope this helps. :-)
I've been doing Yuletide so long I feel like my letter has gotten rather rote. But here goes:
My ironclad DNWs for this Yuletide are non-canonical character death, fridging, graphic sex or violence, non-canonical politics, and coffee shop/high school/university/pregnancy AU.
Likes! So much more fun to discuss! I prefer angst over fluff, I like happy endings that come after struggle or discord, I love character studies and backstories. I love minor characters in fic, the chance to flesh out what we don't see on the page or screen. I love canon-divergence or AUs within the given universe (a different meet-cute, or a different ending, for example). Character pieces are just as awesome as plot. I am totally open to crossovers and have given some ideas if that's your jam. :-)
